Happenings, is where members will find out what's happening! This includes Contests, the Event Calendar, Garage Sales, Lost and Found, Kids Stuff, and the What's New feature.

Contests
The Contests function, allows for the creation of various contests for your neighborhood, group, club, or what have you. You could have contests such as best landscaping, greatest sales, or whatever might be appropriate for your entity.

Event Calendar
The event calendar, allows for members to post various events that are coming up. This could be a homeowners or church meeting, a committee meeting, a field trip for kids, a cooking club get together, or any number of other activities that may be occurring.

Other areas of the web site, also have their own calendars. Within these areas, members of the committee, board, club, organization or what have you that has the calendar, can post items to their particular calendar that will appear there, plus will have the option of having it appear on the general calendar.

Garage Sales
Members can post details of upcoming garage sales they may be having. Within the details, they can post the date(s) of the garage sale, explain details, and even list items that will be available, along with the asking prices. In addition, they have the ability to post photos of items.

All garage sales posted, will automatically appear in the general calendar of events.

Lost and Found
Whether it's a lost dog or cat, watch, or other item, members can post it here for others to become aware of. In addition, this section is posted for the public to view. This way, it provides a greater chance of the item being recovered. In addition to the details of the item, a photo can be uploaded.

Kids Stuff
With Kids Stuff, members are able to post items of interest about kids. Such as, the neighborhood or organization may be having a kid's play day gathering at a playfield, or a field trip they want to organize or tell others about. Directly within this area, members have the ability to post photo albums, have a document storage section, a discussions forum, a blogging function, an announcement area, an event calendar, a wants and needs area, a task manager function, and a surveys and polls function.

As with all separate areas like this, members have the ability to specify whether photo albums, documents, discussions, blogs, announcements, calendar events, wants and needs and surveys and polls are left just in that areas functions, or included in the main areas of the neighborhood, church, or what have you.

What's New
Clicking on the What's New button brings up a nice display of most of the features that may have interest. It will show, since the visitor's last visit, what has been posted in most all of the categories and features. Then, by simply clicking on an item, it will take them to the details.
